2. INT. MADIKWE HILLS PRIVATE GAME LODGE, HONEYMOON SUITE-2:33 P.M.
WOODY and JORDAN are entering their own private hut where they will be staying
for the week. WOODY tips the bell boy, who has piled their bags up inside the
door, and turns back to watch JORDAN heading over towards the big glass doors
that enclose one side of their suite. The bed is big and curtained. He smiles.
It looks fit for a queen. His queen.

WOODY
Jordan, this place is insane…. I mean, I know you had money from selling the boat Pollack left you, but this almost feels like too much.
JORDAN (hands on hips)
Too much?
WOODY (whispering)
I said almost.
WOODY (cont’d)
This place is beautiful, Jor. (pause) Kinda… open, but beautiful.
JORDAN (softly)
Why, Woodrow, are you worried about us getting peeped on in… compromising positions? (pause) Because if so, then the big claw-footed tub on the porch probably wouldn’t be to your liking either.
WOODY
Wow. (pause) Now that is hot.
WOODY turns back to JORDAN, wagging his eyebrows.

EDDIE WINSLOW
I can’t, Max! You know that.
MAX
This is important.
EDDIE (sighing)
When isn’t it with the Cavanaughs?
MAX
This is different.
EDDIE
Why? How?
MAX
Because it is.
EDDIE (eye roll)
Sorry, Max. Not good enough.
MAX
Jahdon needs answers.
EDDIE (seemingly unmoved)
She’s needed answers since she was ten years old. Why now?
MAX (glaring)
She’s getting married.
EDDIE
And your wedding gift is going to be her mother’s killer?
MAX (losing patience)
I want her to be able to move on!
EDDIE
Like you said, she’s getting married. Seems to me like she’s moving on just fine.
MAX (almost sadly)
You know her, Eddie. Without answers, part of her will never get past it.
EDDIE
You honestly think she’ll do that with answers?
MAX (thinking for a moment)
Maybe not. (beat) But I think it’ll give her some peace. (another beat) She deserves that.
EDDIE (softly)
She’s always deserved that.
EDDIE (cont’d)
Give me a day or two. I’ll get you what you need.
MAX
Thank you.
EDDIE
Consider it my gift to Jordan and Hoyt.

4. INT. HONEYMOON SUITE – 5:48 P.M.
A dinner cart sits by the fully opened, glass suite doors and candles are lit
beside the still-made bed. The camera follows a trail of clothing from beside
the dining cart to:
5. EXT. HONEYMOON SUITE – CONTINUING
The large, white, claw-footed tub located on the patio outside the hut. Lanterns
are lit and hanging on tree branches around the patio, and a big, fluffy towel
hangs from a branch as well. Finally, the camera pans up the side of the tub
where we find JORDAN, relaxing back in WOODY’S arms, in the tub, amidst loads
of bubbles. They both are looking out at the sun setting over the flat land.
WOODY shifts slightly and waits until JORDAN turns her head, then kisses her lips softly.
JORDAN (softly)
Hi.
WOODY (smiling)
Hi, yourself. (kiss) You know this is far from the manliest thing I’ve ever done, but it sure is relaxing, huh?
JORDAN
For a backwards honeymoon, I’d say it’s going great so far.
WOODY
Your dad shouldn’t be so hard on us. Some people take the backwards thing even further and have a kid before the marriage part.
JORDAN
Yeah, he uh… he should actually be pretty impressed by the traditions we have followed so far.
WOODY isn’t really thinking about tradition any more. He offers a non-committal
grunt as an answer to her comment and swiftly moves forward in the tub, scooping
her into his arms sideways and turning her around so that she’s straddling his
waist.

WOODY
Traditional. (kiss) Right. (kiss) Yeah. Your dad should be proud of what we’ve done so far. (murmurs) But right now, I want your dad to be the last thing on either of our minds.
JORDAN looks relieved, like she has dodged the bullet for now, but she is obviously
stressing over whether to tell WOODY that she may be pregnant. Luckily, WOODY
seems to have found a momentary way for her to relieve her stress, and she’s
going to take it.
JORDAN moans softly against his lips and wraps her arms around his shoulders, pulling their bodies closer together in the water.
JORDAN (smiling)
Mmm… Dad who?
WOODY laughs back softly and sinks them lower in the water as the scene fades
to black as the final rays of sun disappear.
6. INT. MORGUE CONFERENCE ROOM – AFTERNOON, COUPLE DAYS FOLLOWING MAX’S CONVERSATION
WITH EDDIE
The conference room is awash in paper. The shot is a slow pan around the room,
giving us hints at the evidence: some old photos of the crime scene; a report
on the “phantom” fingerprint; transcripts of at least one of MAX’S interviews
with the investigating detective; a report from Child Protective Services about
JORDAN; a page or two of Emily’s hospital records; the autopsy report and so
on. The shot does not allow us to linger, but gives us only teasing glimpses
of what MAX and GARRET are working with.

MAX is seated, glasses on, holding a file folder, engrossed in whatever information he’s reading. GARRET is standing by the white board, studying what little they’ve written. He looks as if he could bore a hole in the board with his gaze and maybe the answer would be miraculously behind it. Either that, or he’s having a staring contest with the white board. The board wins because GARRET turns away with a sigh.
GARRET
You can’t tell me you haven’t looked at all this stuff.
MAX (looking up)
Not like this. (sweeping hand motion) Not with everything in one place.
MAX
And some of it I didn’t see.
GARRET
Who do you think killed her, Max?
MAX
I don’t know.
GARRET
I didn’t ask if you knew. (beat) I asked what you thought.
MAX
You think I know.
GARRET (shakes head, exasperated)
But you have an idea. You have to, Max.
MAX
Look, Garret, everything I knew about – about that – is here. In this room-
GARRET
Quit avoiding the question, Max!
NIGEL
Dr. M. Just the Chief M.E. I was looking…
NIGEL (cont’d) (perplexed/intrigued)
… for.
NIGEL (cont’d)
What are you gents up to?
GARRET (tired)
What does it look like, Nigel?
NIGEL
It looks like all the files on Jordan’s mum’s murder.
MAX
It is.
NIGEL
Shouldn’t all these things be in police storage?
MAX
They’re copies.
NIGEL
Riiiiiiight. And BPD gave them to you out of the goodness of their hearts.
GARRET (changing tack)
You were looking for me?
NIGEL
Oh, right. Yeah. Our lovely Lily needs you to sign this, but she had to run to the daycare. (beat) Something about a hair cutting incident.
NIGEL (cont’d)
Not found anything yet?
MAX (shaking his head)
We just started.
NIGEL
I may know something.
JORDAN
Hey, excited for your African adventure?
WOODY
Completely psyched! Aren’t you? (pause) The whole African safari thing was originally your plan, if I remember correctly.
JORDAN
It was, but seeing the bus we’re going to be toolin’ around in for three hours has me second guessing myself.
WOODY
It’s not that bad.
They both turn suddenly as a booming, British voice comes from their left.
A short, round man in full African safari gear is striding towards the bus, his arms waving dramatically as though he is a mayor in the back of a convertible moving along a small town, Fourth of July parade route.
WOODY and JORDAN share a look, and the crowd cuts to make room for the rotund man as he makes his way to the bus and climbs up onto the runner to look over the crowd.
TOUR GUIDE
Good morning, good morning! Ladies and gents from far and wide! Welcome to Sergeant Major Heathcliff Barry’s African Safari!
JORDAN and WOODY share another look; this time they both look a little concerned.
This guy looks about two degrees off NIGEL level crazy.

JORDAN (quietly)
Oh, great, we’ve got Sergeant Major Bonkers leading us out into the unknown.
BARRY
Well, enough about me! I’d love to learn a bit about all of you on our travels, so without any further ado, tallyho!
WOODY (whispering)
Does that mean ‘let’s go’?
JORDAN gives him a sideways glance.

8. EXT. VELDT - TWO HOURS LATER
JORDAN and WOODY are sitting together on the canvas-topped van, bumping along
with the rest of the tourists. We can hear SERGEANT MAJOR BARRY’S booming voice
droning on in the background as they bounce along on the safari ride.
WOODY is smiling and looking this way and that as BARRY points out flora and fauna. JORDAN looks like she might puke at any second.
WOODY
This is fun, huh!?
JORDAN
Oh ,yeah, terrific! My ass is never going to be the same again!
WOODY
Well, we don’t want that to happen….
WOODY (cont’d)
Alright, look, to make up for your sore ass, I got us a couple’s massage for tonight after dinner; how’s that sound?
JORDAN
Couple’s massage? What the hell does that mean?
WOODY
At the spa, you know, they have these little massage rooms; we’ll have adjoining doors so I can keep an ear out to make sure the guy rubbin’ you down isn’t getting handsy….
JORDAN (over BARRY’S voice)
Couple’s massage, huh? (pause) Well, if there was ever a day this week I’d be sure to need one… Thanks, that sounds great, Wood.
BARRY (over the microphone)
Oh, ho! Sorry, folks, got a bit shaky there for a moment; not to worry, we stay the course!
JORDAN and WOODY look at each other and, laughing, shake their heads.
9. INT. CONFERENCE ROOM – CONTINUING FROM PREVIOUS CONFERENCE SCENE
GARRET and MAX are looking expectantly at NIGEL, who has that guilty expression
on his face that we all know so well. He has picked up a file near him and is
fidgeting with it. The other two men give him a moment, but it becomes clear
that NIGEL doesn’t really know how to start.
GARRET
What do you know, Nigel?
NIGEL (quickly)
Well, I don’t know for certain. I mean, I may have-
MAX
Nigel.
MAX (cont’d) (low, insistent)
Nigel!
NIGEL (in a rush)
There’s a man. Who knows. Jordan found out about him, but not where he is and I’ve been trying to find him.
GARRET
What are you talking about?
NIGEL (sighing)
It was in – in some papers. (looks at GARRET helplessly) Papers that J.D. Pollack left her.
GARRET
Pollack… what? Knew something?
NIGEL (nodding)
When he was… looking into that judge. He found someone.
MAX (tense)
Who?
MAX (cont’d)
Who, Nigel?
NIGEL
We don’t know. Pollack … He didn’t use the bloke’s name, called him “Mr. Y.”
GARRET
And you’ve been looking for him?
NIGEL
The man is in prison, but Pollack didn’t say where.
GARRET
What does this guy know? Supposedly.
NIGEL
He told Pollack he did… favors for some cops. One of them involved a murder. He gave Pollack Emily’s name.
MAX (worried)
Do you know where these papers are?
MAX (cont’d)
I want to see them.
MAX (cont’d)
Now.
NIGEL gulps and gestures toward the door. MAX follows him out, leaving GARRET
looking more worried than usual.
END OF ACT ONE
10. INT. SPA WAITING AREA- NIGHT
WOODY and JORDAN sit beside one another, flipping through magazines. WOODY wears
a sheet wrapped around his waist and JORDAN wears a similar one wrapped around
her body and tucked under her arms.
WOODY watches her flip through a magazine for a moment before he leans over and kisses a spot on her neck, then her chin, then her lips. JORDAN smiles and leans into his touch briefly, as WOODY places a hand on her bare shoulder and strokes it gently.
JORDAN
Easy, tiger.
JORDAN (cont’d)
You’re gonna get us in trouble out here, and besides, I’m supposed to wait for Rolando or Phillippe or whatever other big muscle-bound dude is gonna rub me down.
WOODY
Maybe I didn’t think this whole massage thing through completely.
JORDAN (quietly)
Oops, “Rolando” calls. Catch ya later, babe.
She winks and hops up from her chair, wagging her eyebrows at WOODY once more
as she slips into the room. WOODY just chuckles and shakes his head as the door
closes behind her.
11. INT. INDIVIDUAL MASSAGE ROOM - A FEW MINUTES LATER
JORDAN is face down on a massage table, her head positioned so that her face
is in the face cradle and the camera is looking up at her relaxed expression
through it.
The MASSEUR is gently, but thoroughly, rubbing down her spine to her tailbone where the sheet that was covering her body is now pushed down. JORDAN sighs, closes her eyes and relaxes more into the massage.
The door to the tiny room opens soundlessly, and the MASSEUR looks up, smiles and beckons with his head for the person there to come in.
The camera turns and we see a smiling WOODY enter and softly close the door behind him. He moves over to the table and nods to the MASSEUR. They wait a beat, trying to get the timing down, and then WOODY oils up his hands and flawlessly puts his hands on JORDAN’S back as the MASSEUR removes his. He nods to WOODY again and just as quietly as WOODY had entered, the MASSEUR exits the room.
WOODY now has JORDAN in his clutches.
He bites back a chuckle as JORDAN sighs happily and relaxes more into his touch, maybe unconsciously aware that it is a familiar set of hands now rubbing her down. He moves his hands down to her hips, rubbing them in a circular motion and then sliding them back up her spine. Along the way he gently rubs her backside lightly enough that it could almost be seen as an accident.
He bites back another chuckle when JORDAN stiffens slightly but then relaxes again. He moves his hands safely to her shoulders and begins rubbing them deep. JORDAN moans softly and relaxes more into the table. WOODY grins wickedly and slides one hand to the back of her upper arm, letting his thumb quickly caress the outer curve of the breast beside it.
JORDAN stiffens slightly again, as if she’s trying to decide if this guy is being inappropriate or not. WOODY decides to finally push her the rest of the way over that edge so she’ll look at him. He lowers his head and runs his lips softly over the back of her neck.
JORDAN (lifting her head)
Whoa! This isn’t that kind of-!
WOODY (sweetly)
Gotcha.
JORDAN (sternly)
What the hell, man? I was just about to sock you in the face.
WOODY
Well, don’t do that. I just thought maybe you’d like a massage from the guy who knows what you like best….
JORDAN
Oh, yeah? Where ya hiding him?
WOODY
Relax, I got this. (pause) And I’ll do a better job than whatever weekend fiancé you’re talkin’ about.
JORDAN finally chuckles and turns back to place her face in the cradle and settles
in. She’s actually really looking forward to WOODY giving her a massage.
WOODY oils up his hands again as she settles in and slowly makes his way over to the door. He looks back at JORDAN lying on the table and smiles before he reaches out to lock the door gently. Another smile plays across his lips when JORDAN squirms slightly at the sound of the door locking.
WOODY starts back over to the table, rubbing his hands together and reaches for the sheet still draped over JORDAN’S backside.
WOODY
Well, I think since it’s just the two of us now, we can get rid of this.
He gently tugs at the sheet until the only things left on the table are the
sheet covering the table and JORDAN, face down, in her birthday suit.
The camera stays on WOODY’S eyes as he looks over the length of her body with an almost hungry desire. He looks at the back of her head and takes a deep breath.
WOODY
You okay?
JORDAN hesitates a moment. We can’t see her face because it is in the cradle.
She nods slowly and settles in more as if inviting him to continue.
WOODY makes sure the sheet around his own waist is secure before he leans back over the table and begins to rub her back again, slowly, in large circles, using his fingers to dig deeply into her soft flesh.
When he feels JORDAN is really relaxing into his touch he smiles and leans over to add his lips to the massage. JORDAN squirms slightly but is still well on her way to becoming Jell-o. WOODY smiles as his hands move lovingly over her back, her shoulders, her neck. He rubs each arm down to her fingers, even gently stroking each one by itself.
![]() |
Bubbly - Colbie Callait
The camera moves to JORDAN’S face from the bottom of the table looking up through the face cradle. She has her eyes closed but a smile a mile wide spreads across her face.
WOODY is smiling too. We can tell he is chuckling even though we can’t hear it over the music and he occasionally whispers something softly in her ear before moving to a new spot on her body.
When he has finished down to the tips of her toes, WOODY looks her over again and then moves back up beside her head. He leans over and whispers in her ear again softly.
JORDAN lifts her head from the face hole and looks up into his eyes with a secret smile of her own.
WOODY nods and leans in to kiss her lips once softly before pulling back. JORDAN smiles and nods before slowly turning over to her back on the table and folding an arm behind her head.
Again, we see WOODY’S eyes travel over her body, taking in the newly exposed side of her. When his eyes reach hers JORDAN grins and beckons him to her with a waggle of her index finger.
WOODY smiles and leans over to kiss her more deeply now and slowly climbs up onto the table on top of her. The camera moves over them, JORDAN now completely covered by WOODY’S body and the sheet still wrapped around his waist. They are both smiling as they kiss and stroke one another. They are lost in a little world of their own.
JORDAN chuckles now, and it is again muted by the sound of the music playing over the scene. She rubs her fingers through his hair, scratching his scalp lightly as he peppers kisses across her shoulders and chest. The camera stays on JORDAN’S face as he moves lower and her eyes close, rolling back in her head briefly until we see WOODY’S head re-appear, face to face with JORDAN’S and he begins to kiss her again deeply.
JORDAN wraps her arms around his shoulders, kissing him back with equal passion and slowly her hands slide down to the top of the sheet around his waist. Her hands stroke along the edge of the sheet until WOODY pulls back from their kisses and looks down into her eyes. His face is serious. JORDAN has that secret smile back on her face and the camera cuts to her hands slipping under the edge of the sheet and untucking it from his waist.
The camera cuts back to their faces as WOODY slowly begins to smile and JORDAN bites her bottom lip. She pulls the sheet up over WOODY’S shoulders, enveloping them in it as they begin to kiss again with greater passion than before and their squirming against one another increases as well. The scene slowly fades to black as the camera remains on their faces as they kiss.
CUT TO:
12. INT. INDIVIDUAL MASSAGE ROOM- AN HOUR LATER
WOODY and JORDAN are snuggled together on the massage table tangled in the sheets
there. JORDAN is tucked close into WOODY’S side with her head on his chest and
an arm around his torso. WOODY is holding her in his arms and their legs are
tangled together under the sheet. Both look sweaty and relaxed.
JORDAN lifts her head and looks towards the door.
JORDAN
You think they’re worried yet? We’ve been in here over an hour.
WOODY
Nah, I had this all planned out, nice long… massages for the two of us by the two of us.
He kisses her cheek gently and, if possible, snuggles her closer in his arms.
JORDAN nods and reaches a hand up to stroke his cheek with one finger, stopping to poke the dimple in his chin playfully.
JORDAN
Well, I hope they don’t have rules against the other things we did in here. (kiss) Because I’d be really bummed if we got kicked out of this place for inappropriate behavior in the massage room….
She laughs and sits up a little, propping herself up on her elbows and looking
around.
WOODY props up on his elbows himself and kisses her shoulder.
WOODY
Well, I think that if they were within two miles of this room in the past hour they heard plenty worth kicking us out of this place and they haven’t yet. (kiss) I think we’re safe.
He looks around again and rubs his eyes before slowly climbing off of the massage
table and scooping JORDAN up in the sheet and setting her down on her feet.
They both laugh and WOODY wraps the sheet snuggly around her torso.
WOODY
There ya go.
JORDAN
Come on, let’s get out of here.
JORDAN (cont’d)
That outdoor tub is calling my name.
WOODY
But not mine?
JORDAN
Eh, maybe I’ll let you use it after me….
She trails off and heads out the door. WOODY chuckles and shakes his head, following
behind her to go get their clothes out of the changing rooms.
END OF ACT TWO
13. INT. WOODY AND JORDAN’S HONEYMOON SUITE- 2:51 A.M.
After their… relaxing massages and a long soak in the outside tub, WOODY and
JORDAN have hit the sheets early, for some much needed sleep after a day of
safari taking and massage giving.
They are both sprawled out in their large, canopy bed, out cold. WOODY is snoring softly, and JORDAN is spread out on her belly on her side of the bed.
The camera follows up along her legs as she begins to squirm slightly. It stops on her face as her eyes blink open slowly and she swallows hard. And then again. Her hand goes to her mouth gently and she looks over at WOODY to make sure he’s out for the count.
Once JORDAN is sure WOODY is completely asleep, she slowly slips out of the bed and then bolts for the bathroom.
WOODY, of course, being a cop, senses the tiniest of sounds, and he sits up when he hears the fan in the bathroom go on. He listens a moment, thinking maybe JORDAN has just gotten up to go to the bathroom but then he hears her retching and climbs out of the bed.
By the time he gets to the bathroom door, JORDAN is sitting on her knees, arms wrapped around her middle and groaning. WOODY looks very concerned.
WOODY (softly)
Jordan? Jordan? (pause) Are you alright?
WOODY (cont’d)
Are you sure? I… I know that… that they have a care center here… I could call and…
JORDAN
No! (beat) Uh… I mean, no.
JORDAN (cont’d)
I’m okay… I just… I think dinner didn’t really agree with me. I’m fine, promise.
WOODY
Alright… well, come on, let me put you back to bed and I’ll get you a soda to sip on.
He gently lifts her from the floor and slowly carries her back into the bedroom
area and places her on top of the covers.
JORDAN smiles softly and rubs her stomach over the tank top she’s wearing. WOODY smiles as he comes back to the bed and hands her a can of soda before he lies down beside her.
JORDAN (quietly)
Thanks.
JORDAN
I’m sorry, what part of me puking was amusing to you?
WOODY
No, no, I’m not making fun of you, I’m just not used to you looking so… helpless. (pause) It’s kinda cute.
JORDAN
Cute, huh? (pause) Go take another look inside that toilet and see if ‘cute’ is still the first thing that comes to mind.
WOODY chuckles again and reaches out to touch her stomach gently when she takes
a sip of soda.
The intimate action causes JORDAN to start to choke on her soda, her expression one of shock, as if she thinks WOODY might already know about the possibility of her being pregnant.
JORDAN (curtly)
What’re you doing?
WOODY
I… I was ju—just rubbing your stomach, it looked like it was helping a little when you did it so I just thought… I’m sorry.
He looks regretful and moves away from her a little.
JORDAN suddenly looks like she feels awful for having almost yelled at him when he was just trying to help.
JORDAN
Sorry. I just didn’t know what you were doing.
WOODY (smiling softly)
There. How’s that feel?
WOODY (worried)
What’s wrong? Does that hurt? Do you want me to stop?
JORDAN
No, it doesn’t… just… you’re too good to me. (pause) Here we are, in Africa, and I’m… puking all over our room.
WOODY (smiling)
Oh, come here.
WOODY (cont’d)
I think maybe we’ve just been overdoing it a tad since we got here.
He rubs the arm of hers closest to his hand as he holds her and kisses the side
of her head.
JORDAN is staring off into the night through the big glass doors in front of their bed.
JORDAN
Yeah. (pause) Maybe that’s it.
WOODY
Come on. (pause) Get some sleep okay? Tomorrow, we’ll just hang around the room and rest so that we can do all the fun stuff we have planned for the rest of the week.
JORDAN nods and settles into his arms more as WOODY turns off the light and
closes his eyes. JORDAN’S remain open, worried as the scene fades to black.
14. INT. JORDAN’S OFFICE – ABOUT HALF AN HOUR LATER
MAX is seated at JORDAN’S desk, his glasses on, the papers POLLACK left JORDAN
open in front of him. He is no longer reading them, but starting into space.
His expression is unreadable. After a long moment, he looks down again. Finally,
with a head shake, he stands up.
MAX
Damn him.
MAX
Vinnie Fratelli.
NIGEL
‘Scuse me?
MAX
I think the guy you’re looking for is Vinnie Fratelli. (beat) He used to do “favors” for some of the guys I knew.
MAX (cont’d)
He left town a couple years after - (swallows heavily) after Jordan’s mother….
NIGEL
And you think this is the guy?
NIGEL (cont’d) (slowly)
Right then. I guess I have somewhere to start. Again.
MAX nods heavily and exits. His face is still a mystery.
16. INT. JORDAN AND WOODY’S HONEYMOON SUITE - NEXT DAY
It is the day after JORDAN and WOODY have spent a day catching up on sleep and
relaxing after she’d been sick two nights before. JORDAN is lying in bed, reading
and listening to her iPod, when WOODY comes into their suite, dressed casually
as if he’s been running little errands for her since they’ve been resting the
day before. '

JORDAN smiles and removes her headphones as she sits up better in the bed.
JORDAN (smiling)
Hey! How’d you make out?
WOODY sits gently on the edge of the bed beside her and starts going through
the bag he has carried in with him. He proudly produces a pink bottle of what
we know is Pepto-bismol.
JORDAN lights up when he puts it in her hands and WOODY laughs softly and shakes his head.
WOODY
You know, most women ask for flowers, candy, a nice, moderately-priced bottle of wine, but not my girl. Nuh-uh, she’s all-a-glow for Pepto-bismol.
JORDAN (dryly)
Hey, you should write their next commercial jingle.
WOODY
Hey, Jordan, are uh… are you sure you’ll be okay today? I mean… with the hike and all?
JORDAN
Yeah, I feel fine today. This is just a precaution. (pause) I think a nice, cleansing hike sounds like a great idea.
WOODY
Well… alright, but I’m gonna keep you hydrated. I don’t need you passing out somewhere on me, and if you feel sick at all, and I mean at all, you tell me and we’ll come back, okay?
JORDAN
Okay, you’re the Boy Scout; I get it, water… lots of water.
CUT TO:
17. EXT. AFRICAN FOOTHILLS- LATER THAT DAY
The camera view is squarely on WOODY’S face; he is smiling ear to ear. Slowly
the camera pulls back and he begins to quickly look over his left shoulder every
few seconds, still grinning. He is clearly looking at something.
WOODY (amused)
You okay back there?
JORDAN (irritated)
I’m fine. You’re the one who’s making me drink all this stinkin’ water, and you’re surprised that I’ve had to stop and pee every ten minutes since we’ve been walking?
WOODY laughs and walks a little farther up a nearby hill and stops to look around.
JORDAN watches him, scoffs and then follows.
JORDAN (cont’d)
Hey!
JORDAN (cont’d)
The least you could do is wait for me, man.
WOODY
Well? What’d you think?
JORDAN
You… you mean that’s for us?
She looks out as they start walking again and the camera pans over to a single-engine
propeller plane with a pilot standing on the ground beside it.
WOODY smiles and nods, taking her hand as they walk a little faster but then stops suddenly and turns to JORDAN with a look of concern.
WOODY
Hey, you sure you don’t need to pee once more before we get on this thing? (pause) Because once we’re in the air you’re outta luck, babe.
JORDAN (laughing)
Aw, shut it, Farmboy.
WOODY wraps an arm around her as they trot towards the plane.

END OF ACT THREE
18. EXT. – HONEYMOON SUITE PATIO- EVENING
JORDAN and WOODY are again in the tub. JORDAN is lounging back against WOODY’S
chest as they both watch the sun setting over the flat land stretching out ahead
of them.
They both look relaxed and happy.
JORDAN
That… was a very cool idea you had with the plane today, Wood. (pause) Your ingenuity is something I aspire to have one day.
WOODY
Well, I’m glad you liked it. I wasn’t sure if—
WOODY (cont’d)
Whoa! You been doin’ those abs of steel videos lately?
JORDAN (puzzled)
No, why?
WOODY
‘Cause your stomach is hard as a rock, you little bad ass. Look at me: gettin’ married to G.I. Jane.
JORDAN
Okay, less groping, more relaxing.
JORDAN (cont’d)
Dude, I thought you were gonna pee yourself when we saw those hippos at the watering hole from the plane. (laugh) You were like a little kid.
WOODY
Well, close. (pause) I was thinking of a kid. (smile) Charlie, on my little league team; the kid is just ape over hippos. I got a couple of nice shots of them, too, so he’ll be my bud for life now.
JORDAN (playful)
Away in an exotic location with your fiancée and you’re thinkin’ about little leaguers? (pause) How romantic.
WOODY
Like a real, old married couple huh? Thinking about the kids when we’re supposed to be getting away from home for a while.
JORDAN
You really think we’ll be those people one day?
JORDAN (cont’d)
Those ‘mom’ and ‘dad’ people?
She’s testing the waters. One day may be a hell of a lot sooner than WOODY is
probably thinking, but she needs to know that ‘this’ whatever it might be, isn’t
going to end up being a mistake.
WOODY doesn’t answer for a moment. He looks off at the sunset and closes his eyes for a long few moments. JORDAN looks amused but she doesn’t interrupt his thoughts. By the look on his face, they are all pleasant ones though.
He finally opens his eyes and nods slowly, with that coy little smirk that we all love.
WOODY
Yeah. (pause) I do. And I think we’ll rock.
JORDAN (softly)
I love you, ya know?
WOODY
Hmm, well, the thought had crossed my mind a time or two, yes.
JORDAN looks like she has gotten all of the answer she needed. She turns back
around, looking out at the sunset and settles comfortably back into his arms.
19. EXT. JUNGLE AREA- NEXT DAY- AFTERNOON
JORDAN is leading WOODY through some vegetation. They are both dressed as casually
as we have seen them: jean shorts and a tank top on JORDAN, covering what we
can see are the strings of a bathing suit underneath, tied around her neck halter
style; WOODY is wearing a white sleeveless undershirt and khaki shorts.
WOODY
Told ya, Jordan, I don’t have the stomach for cliff diving. So whatever you’ve got planned better keep my butt out of danger… cause let’s be honest…
WOODY (cont’d)
Where on earth are you gonna find another piece this fine?
JORDAN
Ah, some of life’s great questions: How did we get here? Where do we go next? (pause) Where in the far reaches of the universe could I ever find an ass to rival that of Woodrow Wilson Hoyt?
WOODY
I feel like we’re on the ‘Lost’ island and—
WOODY (cont’d) (excited)
Oh, jeez, oh man, is… is that what’s going on here? (pause) Are we out here to act out that fantasy I told you about? Where I’m Sawyer and you’re Kate and we’re in that cage from last season.
WOODY (cont’d)
Did you get a cage? Is there a cage out here?
JORDAN (dryly)
Are you high?
WOODY (to himself)
IIIIII… sense I’ve gone too far.
JORDAN
A tad.
JORDAN (cont’d)
Come on. (pause) This is far better than your ABC-must-see-T.V.-cage-sex.
WOODY looks intrigued as she pulls him into a clearing and his mouth drops open.
20. EXT. WATERFALL CLEARING - CONTINUING
WOODY
Wow… this is… wow, Jordan, how did you find this place?
The camera pulls out to reveal a wading pool and falls amidst the jungle backdrop.
JORDAN smirks and pulls her tank top over her head and tosses it at WOODY.
WOODY watches as JORDAN rids herself of the jean shorts next and continues watching in bald interest, as she fixes her bikini before slowly wading into the pool under the waterfall. WOODY pulls off his shirt and shorts as well and watches JORDAN with a little smile as he wades in tying his bathing trunks.
WOODY
No chance there’s a cage anywhere around this pool huh?
JORDAN
Let it go, man.
WOODY laughs and before he can even get in to his knees, he backs up and decides
to run and cannonball into the wading pool instead. We hear JORDAN laugh off-camera.
CUT TO:
21. EXT. JUNGLE CLEARING WITH WATERFALL—A LITTLE LATER
WOODY and JORDAN are relaxing on towels in the sun drying. Both have their eyes
closed and JORDAN has rolled into WOODY’S side as he strokes a hand up and down
her back.
JORDAN takes a deep breath in, releases it and snuggles more into his side.
JORDAN
So, what do you think ‘Scooby’ and the gang are up to in Boston?
WOODY
Which one of them is Scooby?
JORDAN
I dunno, I was thinking Nigel maybe? (pause) He’s the most gangly, anyway.
WOODY
True. (pause) Honestly, I don’t give a rat’s ass what anyone else is doing. I just care what we’re doing.
JORDAN
Good answer, Farm Boy.
22. INT. CONFERENCE ROOM – HOUR OR SO LATER THAN LAST BOSTON SCENE
GARRET and MAX are once again going over the evidence, now with the idea that
whoever killed Emily had help in some way not yet specified.

GARRET
What sort of… things did Fratelli do?
MAX (shrugging)
Pretty much anything.
GARRET (nodding)
No idea if he would’ve… pulled the trigger? Disposed of evidence?
MAX
No.
GARRET
You need something, Dr. Switzer?
KATE
So this is it.
KATE (cont’d)
Jordan’s Holy Grail.
GARRET
Did you need something?
KATE
I put six files on your desk. They need your signature. When you have time.
KATE (cont’d)
What’s this?
KATE (cont’d)
Where were you when she was killed?
MAX
On duty. (beat) Why?
KATE
Because….
She picks up another photo. This one is of MAX. He’s in uniform and you can see all his accoutrements: gun belt, cuffs, badge, etc.
KATE points to that photo and the initial one.
KATE (looking up)
Did you have two badges?
MAX (visibly pale)
How did…? All these years….
GARRET
You were a cop, Max. A badge on the sideboard wouldn’t have seemed out of place.
KATE
Except when there’s one on his chest.
MAX
Jesus….
GARRET (quietly)
We need to call Jordan. (beat) Now.
MAX
Whoa, now… now just wait a second here, Garret. (pause) They’ve got three days left. I don’t want to interrupt them if we don’t haveta.
GARRET (quietly)
We’ll give it a day, let Nigel look into it. Then I’m calling her myself.
MAX only nods. The two men are nearly eye to eye.

23. INT. HONEYMOON SUITE- AFRICA- NIGHT TIME
WOODY is in bed, asleep on his belly on one side of the bed. The other side
is empty.
The camera pans over the bed to the large glass doors to the outside patio. JORDAN is standing looking out at the darkness. Her face looks troubled as if something is weighing very heavily on her mind.
Suddenly, arms come around her body and WOODY kisses her cheek.
WOODY (quietly)
Hey. (pause) You alright?
JORDAN nods and smiles at him slightly over her shoulder.
WOODY looks out the window in the direction she’s been gazing and yawns.
WOODY (cont’d)
Looks like a storm’s comin’.
JORDAN
Hm?
WOODY
Clouds. On the horizon, see?
JORDAN
Tomorrow’s an inside day then, I guess.
WOODY (leering)
Ooooo… good day for me.
WOODY (softly)
Come back to bed?
It is clear from the huskiness in his voice what WOODY wants.
JORDAN nods and pulls out of his arms with a short, nervous laugh.
JORDAN
Uh... yeah, that sounds like a good idea. I am pretty tired; I don’t know why I couldn’t sleep. (laughs softly)
WOODY
Sure, come on.
JORDAN
Thanks, Wood.
WOODY
No problem. Night.
JORDAN moves over to tuck her head under his chin. It looks like a similar comforting
gesture to WOODY but we can see from the camera angle that the troubled look
has returned to her face.
24. INT. HONEYMOON SUITE- MORNING
WOODY is on his back snoring while JORDAN is on her belly with a pillow pulled
over her head.
Neither is moving but they both start when the phone beside the bed on JORDAN’S side suddenly rings.
WOODY groans and rolls over to his side away from it and JORDAN pulls her head out from under the pillow, squinting.
JORDAN (mumbled)
Mmm… don’t worry. I’ll get it.
She picks up the phone and grunts a hello.
She perks up when the person on the other end speaks.
JORDAN (cont’d)
Hey! Gar… what’s up man? The walls fallin’ down around you in that place without m—
WOODY
Jor, what?
JORDAN
We have to go back.
WOODY
Back? Where?
JORDAN
Boston.
WOODY
What? Now?
JORDAN
Now.
