Trey was working at the morgue on a
grant. His internship was only for a year and he
moved on when it finished (after season one). He
didn't quite fit in with the wacky group. He was
much too 'normal'. He didn't have any eccentric
habits or weird personality quirks that defined the
other members of the staff, which caused him
(unintentionally on the staff's part) to be a bit of an
outsider.
Trey was at the 'bottom of the totem pole'--the same
level as Jordan when she returned and they bonded.
They had a good friendship.
Trey wasn't really sure what he
wanted to do--career wise. His
father always expected him to take over the family
medical practice and Trey rebelled against the idea.
When his father decided to retired he told Trey they he
was handing the reins over to Trey's younger brother.
This didn't sit too well with Trey.
Trey
was played by the actor
Mahershalalhashbaz Ali.
