 Det. Eddie Winslow
Job: Detective for the Boston PD
Facts: Eddie turned in Max (Jordan's father) for dirty cop work.  This forced Max into early retirement and caused a riff between Jordan and Eddie.  He eventually wins her over as she comes to terms with what he did.  Eddie left at the end of season one.

Winslow was played by the actor D.W. Moffett.

Job: Detective for the Boston PD
Facts: Worked well with Jordan.  Jordan never quite exasperated her (unlike some of the other cops). She had a fairly no nonsense attitude and followed the rules.

 Det. Annie Capra
Job: Detective for the Boston PD
Facts: Deceptively soft spoken and has a knack for fooling people into trusting her.  She's not a pushover though.  She and Jordan had a good relationship (once she was cleared of any wrong doing in Malden's death). Moved on at the end of the third season.

Capra was played by the actress Arija Bareikis.

 Det. Roz Framus
Job: Detective for the Boston PD
Facts: She was in three episodes in season 4.  She was a bit gruff and quite sarcastic.  She seemed to take to Bug or 'Buggles' as she called him (much to his despair) She finally got Bug to buy her that gimlet he owed her.

Framus was played by the actress Sandra Bernhard.

 Abby Macy
Job: Student
Facts: Abby was Garret Macy's daughter.  She appeared in a handful of episodes in season one.  She was a senior in high school getting ready to head off to college.  She had a bit of an attitude problem and got herself into some trouble.  She eventually straightened herself out. 

Going into her last year of college Abby gets involved with 'the wrong' crowd which leads to her addiction to drugs.  She attends a rehab center.

Abby was played by the actress Alex McKenna.

 Evelyn
Job: Housewife
Facts: Evelyn dated Max for a short time.  They'd known each other in high school.  Evelyn was widowed and her children grown.  She was a little bit of a control freak putting Max on a 'healthy' diet and getting him to work out and such.  She wasn't too fond of Jordan when she moved back home.  Jordan didn't care too much for her either.  They did try to be civil to each other. 

Evelyn was played by the actress Lois Nettleton.

 Maggie Macy
Job: Housewife
Facts: Ex-wife of Dr. Garret Macy, Maggie was married to Garret (for approximately) 17 years.  They have only one child (a daughter, Abby) together.  Maggie had trouble conceiving children.  Maggie and Garret hooked up a second time briefly in season one after Maggie had been dumped by her current boyfriend.  The relationship didn't last, as the same old problems they'd first had started to surface again.

Maggie reappears in Garrets life in 2006.  She and Garret try to put on a united front for Abby to help her deal with her poblemes.

Maggie was played by the actress Lindsay Frost.

 Dr. Howard Stiles
Job: Psychiatrist
Facts: The 'in house' shrink for the morgue crew, Dr. Stiles is a quirky, persistent, and at times annoying psychiatrist.  He has no problems pushing the staff until he gets through to them and they open up to him (willingly or unwillingly).  He loves his job (maybe too much).  He has a dry and sarcastic sense of humor.  He's always made a game out of 'making plays' for Jordan.

Dr. Stiles was played by the actor Wallace Shawn.
