While there Jordan
has an angry
outburst a Wayne
Riggs who is also
still in the
hospital. The
police man assigned
to his room makes
Jordan back off.
As Jordan is
leaving the hospital
she walks by Riggs's
room and the door is
closed. She pushes
it open and finds
the cop shot dead
and Riggs gone.
Act One:
Back to office.
Jordan brought a
plant for Woody. We
see it slowly die
and then "8 weeks
later" pops onto the
screen. Employee
rules sign posted,
everyone is dressed
in suits, it's a
very moody
atmosphere. No one
seems happy. Nigel
has a GOD AWFUL hair
cut. Group is
arguing in the
conference room.
Group is very
unhappy.
Slokum walks in,
sarcastic as ever.
Det. Seely called
and wants a ME. Bug
goes with Nigel out
to this farm house
out in the middle of
nowhere it seems.
Farm land/corn
fields surround it.
Jordan and Lily
talk. Jordan doesn't
open up to Lily.
They talk about how
the killer's (Riggs)
trail has gone
cold. Lily mentions
that Woody got out
of desk job two
weeks ago and asks
how things are
going. Jordan tells
Lily she hasn't
talked with him
since that day in
the hospital. She
says "I pushed him
away. Sat on the
fence too long and
pushed him away."
Slokum interrupts.
There's a dead burnt
body Jordan and
Sydney are
autopsying. They
find a fingerprint
on the neck. Jordan
thinks someone
strangled man then
burnt the body to
cover up. Idea in
the pocket of the
body says the body
is Wayne Riggs--the
one who shot Woody.
Nigel, Bug meet
Seely (Like Seely's
attitude...much less
sarcasm...more of a
trying to get
along). There is a
dead guy standing at
the fireplace.
Seely tells them to
open his suit coat.
There's a whole
where the heart
should be. The dead
guys wife is in the
kitchen, she starts
hyperventilating...they
can't get her to
calm down, the
Oliver appears. (the
Oliver from past ep).
The lady is his
mom. The dead man
his step father.
Oliver smiles says:
"Tell Macy hello.
That I'm back"
Oliver got off with
an insanity plead
and was sent to a
Juvenile Psych
ward/hospital.
After three years
they claimed he was
cure and sent him
home. The guys
(Nigel and Bug) try
telling Slokum that
Oliver is tricky and
manipulative, but
Slokum, but thinks
they're jumping to
conclusions. They
want to bring in
Macy. Slokum thinks
their theory is crap
and says "Let me
make this clear Dr.
Macy doesn't work
here anymore."
Seely jumps in after
Slokum leaves and
says I'll go talk to
Walcott go over his
head.
Jordan talks to
Garret at his
apartment. He won't
come back. Jordan
confronts Slokum.
The
whole group is happy
for her little
tirade. Sydney gets
her out of there.
He's traced the
print on neck of
burnt victim. It's
Woody's.
Act Two:
Jordan goes to
precinct. She needs
to talk to Woody.
They go into a room
start shouting at
each other. Jordan
tells him about
print. Woody says
yes was looking for
him, found some one
associated to
him...didn't kill
him...him being.
Jordan says "if
you're lying to me I
swear to God" then
leaves.
Back in morgue. Macy walks in jeans and leather coat! Hands Slokum a paper. He's here to help work the case. DA's orders. Slokum continues to be his arrogant self. Garret says it's a riddle. Slokum not impressed. Lily interrupts. Oliver in conference room. They go talk. Oliver pretends to be sweet and caring. Oliver pulls out his hate mail. He says one of these people killed father. It's all Macy and Oliver talking. Oliver wants to help. Macy says maybe Oliver should look at body.
Jordan determines
that the dead body
is not Riggs. Woody
and Jordan together
in lab. They're
arguing. Woody
wants her to not
tell anyone about
his print. Jordan
says "you didn't
call me for two
weeks,
sorry if I'm a
little short on
favors" Woody
starts spiel...can't
t sleep... Jordan
asks him if he
thinks vengeance is
answer? Woody says
yes if it'll get him
his life
back...doesn't want
to push Jordan away
he needs
closure...wants
Jordan to help you
to find him. (all
this seemed a little
to insincere) She'll
hold id for 24
hours. Then calls
in cops. However if
Woody finds him he
has to promise to
call task force in
and let cops do rest
- that's her offer.
Take or leave it.
Oliver walks in.
Says step dad and
mom never really did
get along. Badmouths
step dad calling him
heartless. "When
cause of death is
hidden shouldn't you
look more closely at
tox"...Oliver says.
At crime scene Sydney, Jordan and Woody go over it. They find green paint mixed with burning accelerants.
Back at lab. Find
meat in stomach of
Oliver's step dad.
Can't identify it.
Oliver playing games
with
Slokum. Oliver
suggest a poison. It
shows up. They
realize that mom
displayed these
symptoms. They rush
to the house. Find
her in the shower
drowned. In the
steamed mirror is
freshly written
"Fear Me Now"
(Oliver has been
with them the whole
time.)
Act Three:
Macy believes Oliver
did it. Slokum says
can't be him. Macy
says arrest him.
Slokum ask Seely if
he'd bet his career
on it. Seely arrest
him anyway. Macy
better be right
Seely says. They go
over crime scene.
They explain how he
did it, while with
us. Slokum says
what a brilliant
convoluted scheme.
He pops holes in his
story...goes on a
rant. Says Macy is
off the case.
Woody, meets Sydney
in lab. Found out
where paint comes
from: Jamaica Plain
(not a good
place in Boston...if
you're wondering)
Show were paint
sold, closed...but
Riggs worked there.
Sydney asks if he
should fill in
Jordan, Woody says
no. Woody says
he'll tell then LIES
to Jordan and says
he's dropping it.
Act Four:
At morgue. Macy and
Nigel are talking.
Nigel says don't let
Slokum push him
(Macy) out of the
case. Bug and Nigel
have done some more
work. The hair in
shower is from a dog
(Oliver's family
owns a dog that went
missing at beginning
of episode) The meat
in the stomach of
step dad...is the
dog. So he killed
step dad, mom and
dog. /Come to
conclusion: Wizard
of Oz-- Tin man: dad
(heartless). Wicked
witch: Mom Dog:
tot. Seely makes
comment brother's:
brainless (ohh the
scarecrow!) Guys go
searching for
brother. Only it's
Oliver they find on
the post in the
field.
Woody off on own
looking for Riggs.
Finds the shop.
Riggs comes up from
behind and hits
Woody, and Woody
fights back and gets
him cornered and
holds a gun to his
head. Jordan shows
up. Jordan says put
gun down to
Woody--who's losing
it. Police show up.
Woody's mad at her
for calling them in.
Jordan says he
didn't give her a
choice. Police take
Riggs.
Jordan mad. Says
Woody lied to her.
Woody says at least
he didn't rat him
out. And they get
into BIG argument.
Jordan says you need
help. Woody says no,
and not from you.
Back at lab. Slokum
says Garret was
wrong. Bug stands up
to him and says
Slokum was wrong.
Garret apologies for
not giving Oliver
benefit of the doubt
(you got the
impression he had
something up his
sleeve)
End:
At Garret's place.
Oliver shows up.
Oliver is here cause
Macy let him get
away with the
murders. Oliver
accuses him of not
having courage to
stand up to him.
And now Garret's
going to die a
cowards death--hang
himself. Garret's
the lion. (the last
piece of the
puzzle) Oliver's
the wizard. "So
who's the man behind
the curtain Garret
asks." Seely walks
out and arrests
Oliver.
Back at morgue
Slokum watches group
react happily with
Garret. Slokum
calls Macy into his
office. They talk.
Slokum says has gift
for Garret and gives
him his job back.
Nigel comes in and
pulls off hair
piece! (thank god!)
Slokum gives Jordan
plant (have to see
earlier rant Jordan
has where she tells
him what he can do
with the plant) and
leave.
Jordan joins Garret.
They talk. THE
