Born on
November 17, 1974 in Bismark, North Dakota, Leslie
Bibb was raised in Virginia by her mother after her
father died when she was 3. She is the baby in the
family and has three elder sisters. She attended St.
Gertrude’s Catholic High School in Richmond
Virginia.
Leslie Bibb was ‘discovered’ in
1990 after her mother entered her photos in The
Oprah Winfrey Show and Elite Agency nationwide model
search. Although Leslie did not like the photos the
judges were suitably impressed and chose her as the
winner. She was subsequently offered and signed a
contract with Elite.
After completing high school in
1992 she chose to forsake a modeling career in favor
of attending the University of Virginia, however,
after a semester she dropped out and moved to New
York City. In New York Leslie attended the William
Esper acting studio, and did some further modeling
in Europe. She has appeared in such magazines as
Maxim and FHM.
Leslie’s first film appearance
was in the comedy ‘Private Parts’ (1997), soon
followed by the Television series ‘The Big Easy’;
unfortunately the series was cancelled soon after.
Leslie Bibb went on to appear
as the lead character on the series ‘Popular’ (1999)
for the WB Network. The series achieved critical and
audience acclaim, and has made her a recognizable
household name. She has also appeared in films such
as The Skulls (2000) and See Spot Run (2001). She
also appeared as the infamous intern Erin Harkins on
ER.
She is due to appear in Will
Farrell’s new comedy about NASCAR.
She currently lives in Los
Angeles with her husband of 2 years, Rob Born and
her 2 dogs. When not working on Crossing Jordan and
other movies she enjoys hiking, biking and
collecting antiques.
