The Lu-Woody History
Lu and Woody first
meet outside the Boston PD precinct in Enlightenment. Lu has parked in
his space and Woody's none too happy about it.
Lu informs Woody that she is the department psychologist and
things start off on a sour note.
Woody avoids Lu
until it becomes necessary for him to visit her. Then
he plays his own games with Lu. In Total Recall
Woody has his sessions with Lu, but he still plays a few
games avoiding some of her questions. By he end
of the episode he finally has a serious talk with Lu and
they seem to be on ever ground. Lu gives Woody a
passing evaluation.
In A Man in
Blue Lu purposely pushes a case (dealing with a young
boy who's just lost his father) onto Woody. Woody
handles the case and in the end it helps him deal with a few
of his own demons.
The two don't
start to interact again until Death Toll. Lu
gets emotional over the case when she sees the body of a
young girl. Woody realizes something is wrong and asks
Lu about it. She avoids him throughout the case, even
eventually takes herself off the case. In the end
after it's over Lu tells Woody about her niece. She
died in a car accident while with her. It's part of
the reason Lu fled Virginia and came up to Massachusetts.
Woody comforts her as she cries on his shoulder. When
Lu kisses him he kisses her back.
Woody this time is
the one to confront Lu and insist they talk about their
kiss, in Blame Game. Lu resist talking.
After working a case together they end up in Lu's
office...talking...and kissing. The two are a couple,
but they've kept it very quiet.
In Someone To
Watch Over Me things are going well between Woody and
Lu--Woody is spending a lot of time/nights at Lu's place.
However as Lu is forced to work with Jordan on a case Lu
realizes Jordan has no clue about what is going on between
her and Woody. Lu is uncomfortable. She insist
that Woody talk with Jordan.
Woody still hasn't
mentioned anything to Jordan in Save Me and this is
causing a bit of stress between him and Lu. She's fine
with keeping their relationship from others, except for (it
seems) Jordan.
The beans are
spilled in Thin Ice when Jordan walks in on Woody and
Lu kissing. Lu is frustrated to learn that Woody still
hasn't said anything. She accuses him of keeping his
options open. Woody finally tries to talk with Jordan,
but Jordan doesn't want to talk about it. She insist
she's fine with it.
Woody won't drop
the issue in Mysterious Ways. All Woody seems
able to do is say "Lu says" throughout the episode.
Jordan finally reaches her breaking point and kisses both
Woody and Lu. Insists she's fine and tells them to
move on.
Things go from bad
to worst in Mace vs. Scalpel. There's obvious tension
between Lu and Woody, especially when Woody takes the side
of Jordan on a case.
In Don't Leave Me
This Way they go from worst to it's over. Woody is
determined Jordan is innocent and goes to any length to
prove it. He gets frustrated (mad) when Lu suggest
that Jordan might have committed the crime--as all the
evidence points toward Jordan. When Lu catches Woody
going through her evidence box and confronts Woody he says
they're through.
And so ends the
short relationship of Lu and Woody.
