Episode 16
Lost and Found (02-25-02)
Brief Synopsis: Jordan searches
for a missing infant whose father was murdered in an alley.
Jordan’s case should have been urgent,
stressful, frantic even and instead I felt like we were at a dinner party
working our way through the courses have a merry old time. A missing child,
especially baby, is not a ‘calm’ situation and that’s how they dealt with it.
I’m not sure what happened there, but the writing and the acting lost
perspective.
Jordan: Jordan and Eddie actually
got along (for the most part) in this episode. Instead of thwarting each other
they helped…now there’s an idea! It’s actually the one part of Jordan’s case I
liked. Eddie’s grown on me, but I’m smitten with Woody. It was instant
attraction-liking when Woody appeared.
Jordan was adorable with the baby. I
have to agree with Eddie here, she looked so natural holding the baby. Of
course there won’t be a baby, but it was nice to see Jordan in a more
motherly/compassionate view. That’s not normally a side of Jordan portrayed too
often.
Garret: Well it seems Garret and
Maggie are ‘together’—for how long this will last is anyone’s guess. Abby knows
what’s going on and that I think will have another bad effect on her if they
can’t stay together this time (which I’m betting they’ll be breaking up again
soon). The one nice thing was seeing them agree about not letting Abby go off
for a weekend. Two bad parents enforce a point more than one saying no and the
other saying yes.
What was up with the coach? Was he
supplying or looking the other way? No resolution on that matter. Here Garret
goes and speaks his mind to the coach, yet we never learn if he was doing
anything wrong or not.
Bug: It’s nice to see Bug take on
a good cause. He fights for the less fortunate—something no one’s done for the
poor lady how died. It was nice to learn a little about Bug’s family, his
background, and what it was like for him growing up.
Lily: Lily it seems has put
Garret from her mind. She avoided Garret at all cost and had some nice moments
with Bug. Hopefully she’s not one to dwell on the past and brood about it. I
don’t think that will happen. Lily has too positive an attitude to let herself
brood.
Nigel: Well I got my wish in one
way. They separated Bug and Nigel in this episode and proved my point that they
can each carry their own story. Nigel added a touch of humor—a job he’s good at
doing. I loved the get up Nigel was wearing. Only he could pull off something
like that. And the little reference between him and Max about Scooby Do every
Friday night on the cartoon network (along those lines) was hilarious. I loved
the line.
3 out of 5 Dead Bodies.
