Episode 61
Intruded
(10-10-04)

Brief Synopsis: Jordan's encounter with an intruder at her apartment, which she believes is connected somehow to her mother's murder, causes her to break down and seek the help of Dr. Howard Stiles.

A strong episode in which Jordan got to shine.  She finally opens up and expresses her fear that she’ll become her mother.  She also realizes that she’s her own person.  I think this was a pivotal episode for her.

Jordan:  What an eye opening episode about Jordan.  Who’d have thought we’d ever see her vulnerable.  It’s not often we get to see Jordan express her fears.

I think we finally got some closure on Jordan’s mother in respect that Jordan finally realize she’s not her mother.  We know Jordan fears she will become/turn out like her mother (her mother was mentally sick).  This episode finally proved to Jordan that she’s not her mother’s daughter.  She is her own person, living her own healthy life.  She has her own future which is up to her to write.

Jordan’s typical obsessive-ness became more like paranoia in this case.  Her issues with her mother blocked her from seeing any sort of reality.  She was afraid to go back to her own apartment and was constantly blaming the attack on herself.  She was convinced she’d done something wrong and it was her fault she was attacked.  Jordan had a break down (you new it was coming...sooner or later), but she was able to pick herself back up and move on with her life.

1- She never reacted when Garret kicked her off the case.  2- She had a major outburst at Lily.  Those are not typical Jordan traits.  There were many other things through out the episode that caught your attention and just added all the more to this great story.  This was one of Jordan's better episodes--a growth episode.

Her co-workers realized something wasn’t right and were looking out for her (despite her initial anger over that fact)  It’s as Garret said, they’re her family too and they’re here for her.  I think she finally realized the truth of that statement.

Garret:  It’s not often he shows ‘passion’ on a case, or gets too ‘emotionally’ involved, but he does on this case.  Garret’s belief that the husband is innocent has him going the extra mile trying to find the truth.  He’s not thrilled with the truth he finds, but he proves that his gut feeling was right years ago.

4 out of 5 Dead Bodies.  It was nice to see Jordan finally come to terms about her mother and about herself.
