Brief Synopsis: Authorities fear an airborne virus
killed a passenger and a baggage handler at an international airport, until new
evidence points to a ring of drug smugglers.
Jordan and Bug: I always talk about he chemistry
Nigel and Jordan have when working together, but I have to admit (while
different) Jordan and Bug have their own sort of chemistry. Bug doesn’t go
along with Jordan’s wacky plans or breaking rules and so Jordan knows not to hit
him up when she needs help along those lines. On the typical case though they
work well together.
Jordan loses her temper with Bug when he compromises a
body—by taking a liver out of it. But she cools down and realizes she blew up
at Bug for something that she would have (or has done—for different reasons)
herself. Jordan apologies and even hooks Bug up with a friend also interested
in the research Bug’s looking into.
Bug feels guilty about what he’s done and goes to great
lengths to try and rectify the situation. Between him and Jordan and Lily and
Seely they get a confession out of the guy. It was nice to see Bug presenting
the information/facts in the interrogation room. He’s normally got such a back
seat role. I can’t remember the last time I saw him at the police station. It
was a good episode for Bug.
Lily and Seely: Have you ever met a more
unconvincing couple. Their play-acting was wonderful. There is a chemistry
there. They do say opposites attract—and these two couldn’t be more opposites
than night and day.
I know Seely can be an arrogant jerk (actually he doesn’t
even have to try at it it just comes natural) but when he’s around Lily he
actually tries to be different. Granted most of the time he fails miserably and
is left clueless when Lily goes off on him. I’d like to see them together. I
think it would be an interesting relationship.
On a side note to that I feel sorry for Bug. He still has
feelings for Lily. She’s never returned them though or encouraged him. He
needs to get over Lily and find someone else. Just because I don’t want to see
him hurt. He deserves to be happy.
Garret, Nigel and Woody: These three had the main
plot line. They work well together. Usually Jordan is mixed in somewhere with
the guys (or some other female, though we haven’t had any since Devan though—I
miss her so much. I really liked the dynamic she added to the cast).
Woody is extremely focused on this case. He’s in this
tunnel and sees nothing but the goal in front of him. We learn that it’s
because he detest drugs. It’s one of the things that really get to him. We
learn that his brother had a problem with them. One thing I like about Woody is
he has very set beliefs and he lives by them. He doesn’t change his mind with
the changing of the wind. He sticks to his convictions and beliefs and he
doesn’t stray. He knows who he is and is comfortable with that—flaws and all.
Nigel—I’ve come to the conclusion, after 4 years—can work
well with anyone. He’s himself, but he adjusts his attitude a little to make
whomever he happens to be working with comfortable. He’s charm and wit are hard
not to fall for though.
Garret was his typical self. A little reserved but still
intent on discovering the truth. It was fun trying to see him figure out the
puzzle—on the medical side of things.
3 1/2 out of 5 Dead Bodies. Good episode where everyone
had a part.
