Brief Synopsis: Woody and Jordan have a tough case
to solve as they try to find the motive behind a random shooting. Things get
complicated when Jordan finds an FBI agent is found dead at a local diner.
Jordan: Jordan’s one lucky lady. I’ve lost track of
how many times she’s been threatened with her life. This time was a little
closer than the others were. She actually got shot at. One of these days she’s
not going to be so lucky (then again this is TV so…) I wish I had Jordan’s
instinct about people. She’s rarely wrong when it comes to trusting who’s
innocent and who’s not.
Interesting that she plays the game (sort of) with Samantha
(who’s real name eludes me at the moment). As weird and a little deranged as I
thought the game was I kind of miss it. They got really inventive and good with
the flashbacks and role playing during the second season.
Woody: Woody didn’t lie well. Every time he lied
to the FBI agents there was a look—guilty look—and a pause.
He trusted his gut though that there was something more
going on. What a comparison between Woody and the Feds—makes you appreciate
Woody’s attitude all the much more. Both Woody and Garret lecture Jordan on her
recklessness at the end. Woody and Garret are really teaming up on Jordan—I
don’t think it’ll change her head first (think later) attitude.
Now tell me this. Why would a FBI agent be stupid enough
to use his own government issued gun to kill all this people. Then again he
uses it on the tire of Woody’s car. Way to easy to trace and lay blame to him.
The FBI agent was a little too reckless too. I knew it was one of the two—just
not who until the tire scene.
Bug and Sydney: Wow…I’ve never seen Bug
so…self-centered. He’s usually the one to work well with others. He really
goes at Sydney and Sydney dishes it right back at him. I have to admit it was
entertaining—even if it stretched Bug’s personality a little. In the end they
work it out and come to an understanding.
I loved Lily in this episode. She’s always the rational
one who gets people to work out there problems. She’s the calm in all the fury
of the storm, but this time she blew her fuse. I’ve never seen her yell like
that before. It was wonderful.
The widow made the whole thing perfect. Her attitude over
husband was more humorous (and kind of sad) than Bug and Sydney’s arguing. I
like how in the end they eventually worked together using BOTH their smarts.
Side Note: Since when do they park in parking garages. For
the first 3 seasons Jordan complained about her parking spacing being taken or
not being able to find a spot—and rightly so. Trying to park in Boston (if it’s
not in a garage is insane). Now I can buy that there’s a parking garage under
their building (that’s believable). What I don’t buy is that suddenly after 3
years they have one. You either start with one or not. You can’t just have a
parking garage appear suddenly out of the blue. It’s not something you just ‘up
and add’ to a building (I should know I am an architect.) That just bugged me,
but otherwise I loved the episode.
3 out of 5 Dead Bodies. I liked it. It was well paced
despite the plot flaws (major flaws).
