Random Facts: Under the weather is an expression that means 'to be ill'.
Origin:
Passengers aboard
ships become seasick
most frequently
during times of
rough seas and bad
weather. Seasickness
is caused by the
constant rocking
motion of the ship.
Sick passengers went
below deck, which
provides shelter
from the weather,
but just as
importantly the sway
is not as great
below deck, low on
the ship. And hence
the term 'Under the
Weather' came about.
The title plays off
of the fact that
Jordan is sick in
this episode and
that she is
literally 'under the
weather' when she
gets trapped
underground in the
mines.

Quotes:
Garret: I needed a little time on my own you know.
Lily:
Oh you’re entitled. It’s a big adjustment being back.
Everyone scrutinizing your every move, second guessing
you, looking over your shoulder…
Garret: No Jordan you’re sick. Go home and go to bed.
That’s an order.
Jordan: No sorry. I’m going to disobey that order.
Garret: I’m sorry. Am I still the chief around here?
Jordan: Yeah last time I checked.
Garret: Is it me or have I lost my air of authority?
Jordan: You never had it. At least not with me. Don’t
get a complex about it. I still think you’ve got the
rest of them fooled.
Garret: Nigel. About how quickly could you set up a
video link back to the morgue?
Nigel: About ten minutes ago.
Garret: Right answer.
Jordan: Hey Garret can you hear me?
Garret: Like you’re in my head.
Jordan: Some things never change.
Garret: For God’s sake Jordan what are you doing? Going
for MVP here?
Jordan: I’m going to stay here and look for Jane Doe’s
crime scene.
Woody: No you won’t.
Jordan: I wasn’t asking you.
Woody: Lightening, mud slides, falling trees, it’s way
too dangerous out there right now.
Jordan: Sure when it doesn’t concern you it’s really not
that important is it?
Jordan: Hey Danny. I’m Jordan Cavanaugh. I’m a doctor.
Danny: I hate doctors.
Jordan: Yeah, me too.
Todd:
(to Jordan) Are you sure you know what you’re doing?
Danny: You saved the bullet right?
Jordan: (with a smile) Why? You wanna impress the girls?
Todd:
(to Jordan) You’re crazy.
Jordan: That’s beside the point.
Todd:
Should this have worked by now?
Jordan: Give it some time.
Todd:
Well I’m freezing.
Danny: Hey could you stop complaining. (to Jordan) It’s
kind of wet in here.
Nigel: She should have just gone home.
Todd:
Cool. (at water rushing out of mine)
Jordan: Now where’s that mine entrance?
Garret: Hold on…just hold on. (to Jordan)
Todd:
I’m sorry I was so scared.
Jordan: No, you did great. I think your parents want to
take you home.
Todd:
Thank you.
Woody: You never made it home.
Jordan: Ah you know me.
Woody: You okay?
Jordan: Ah yeah fine. I hear you caught the guy he just
confessed?
Woody: Yeah…I gotta get back to the station. Charges to
file…
Garret: That was stupid and reckless what you did, you
know that. You don’t listen to me.
Jordan: Come on Garret.
Garret: You do what you want. And if you hadn’t this
time those boys wouldn’t be alive now.
Jordan: All in a days work. No big deal.
Garret: I’m still your boss and I’m telling you it was a
big deal. Own it. I don’t know what I would have done
if something had happened to you. (hug)
